Why did you start blogging?

I had quit my day job in order to have a crack at making some money on the
Internet so I knew that it would probably of interest to others to document
my progress so I started the blog at the same time so I could tell my story.

What / Who is your inspiration?

Hmm that’s quite a broad question but I assume you mean within the blogging
niche. I guess the person who inspires me the most is Yaro Starak - I have
followed his blog for months, from way before I quit my day job.

What is the future of your blog?

Well I intend to continue blogging for as long as I am trying to make a
living online. As I don’t intend to rejoin the work force any time in the
next 50 years or so I guess I’ll be blogging for a very long time! I don’t
really have any plans for the blog itself as it is just an avenue for me to
document what I am doing. Obviously I’d like to see the readership continue
to grow.

How do you come up with such great content on your posts?

Honestly, 90% of the time I am flying by the seat of my pants. I try things
out, and write about them. Sometimes I’ll dig a bit deeper into a topic and
manage to come up with more of a ‘pillar’ post but I rarely have anything
written more than a few days in advance. That’s something I’d like to work
on in the future.

What made you start posting those great comments, like the post that describes your technique on ProBlogger?

Well for months and months I was just a lurker. While I was still at the day
job I used to spend hours just reading all these great blogs, and never
saying anything. Once I had quite and started blogging myself I slowly began
to add comments here and there. After a while it became a daily routine to
read and comment a lot on blogs. I haven’t had as much time for that
recently but hope to get back into it soon.

Will we be seeing future implements or new projects?

Projects. I like to run with an idea, wrap it up as a project and blog about
it so that people can kind of follow on with what I am doing and just read
about the projects they are interested in.

Will you continue this blog as long as possible? or will you decide to sell it as the value goes up?

It’s a personal blog branded to my name, how could I possibly sell it? No,
as I mentioned earlier, as long as I am an online presence, I will be
blogging.

Apart from your blogging life, how is your personal life?

Um, I had some pretty rough times in my personal life running through
November and December which I blogged about as it was affecting my work but
I’m happy to say that I am much happier now and going into 2008 with a big
smile on my face.

Do you focus completely on blogging or do you have a normal life just like any other entrepreneur?

Well to be quite honest when I first quit my day job I really did throw
myself into my online ventures at the expense of everything else. I
neglected the people around me and I stopped exercising too. That’s all
change for 2008 and I now intend to keep work in it’s place and not make
that mistake again.

Lastly, how much monthly income are you looking to make by running this blog?

Well last month I made $395 so I hope to hit $500 soon. Long term I am not
sure because really the blog itself is not designed to be the main income
stream - it’s the projects that I work on such as an ebook I just released
that I hope to make the bulk of my income from.
