You gotta be a genuine enthusiast of a niche to regularly run a blog and create valuable content just for free. Such internal drive I think pays off in the end once you have driven sufficient audience and try to monetize it.

I would say I am definitely in it for the long haul. I do run my own personal blog that I kinda of consider my pet in a way. At first I started out doing it for the money, but now it’s turned into more of a passion of mine, that I would still do it, even if I got nothing in return. But… that is only if the visitors keep on coming, because that is one of the satisfactions I get out of running my own personal blog, is having all the readers come and interact on their own.
