Blogging Step By Step To Success

blog reviews Add comments

Trying to get back on schedule here at Bloggin-Ads.com, I’ve decided to do another review of more than one blog. I haven’t fulfilled much review requests as of yet because some of you guys really don’t have content for me to review about, so it’s very difficult to make something out of it. Although I really want to stop doing reviews, I’m not going to change how my blog runs. Helping others is what this blog is all about and I wouldn’t give that up for anything.

Anyways this following review can you could get your daily intake of awesome, get your daily intake of awesome, receive help from a blogging noob, and just random posts for a great read. Why did I just say that? Just take a look below and you’ll realize there are 3 blogs that don’t provide much content, but instead provides very simple reading for viewers. This makes it easy to understand the point, so wouldn’t you want to check it out?

I don’t know if it’s very popular or what, but it seems like everyone is going towards the “no about page” strategy or an about page with very minimal information. I wouldn’t want to do such a thing, but if it works for some bloggers, it works.

Background - Ed’s About Page

“My name is Ed and I live in the pursuit of all things awesome. I’m best known for my absurdly loud voice, extraordinary sense of style (skinny ties made a comeback!) and my seemingly endless knowledge of everything that is completely and utterly useless.

For example, I can sing all the songs ever featured on the Simpsons…quite often in poorly impersonated voices. True story.

If you seriously want to know, ask me a question and I will do my best to answer it here on the site.

What does Mr. Ed have to offer?

Come on you guys, Ed is a friend of John Chow’s, so what isn’t there to offer? :) Well, lets get back to reality here and discuss what Ed really provides through his blog.

I would say that I’ve been a regular visitor to [ED]ition for quite some time now and it Ed never fails to amaze me with the content he puts up. Instead of reading about making money all day for every single day of the week, he puts up his own point of views for almost anything. You can pretty much sum up his blog as one that only rambles. I mean who doesn’t like ramblings?!? If you like John Chow’s weird yet interesting ramblings, you would really like Ed’s.

The main things I like about this blog are the FOOD posts, PRODUCT reviews, and MOVIE reviews, which I adore soooo much :D. Here are a few that I enjoy:

Background - Blogger Noob’s About Page

Upon viewing this blog’s header image, you would probably already figure out that he’s a noob…or is he? This noob will try to earn money through blogging and he will record his journey through this blog. You can basically think of this being similar to Blogging Experiment. Why has this noob started started blogging for money? Well, this guy really likes to make small clips of pointless stuff, so he decided to put these clips on YouTube. Little did he expect that one of his videos received so much hits that it landed a spot in the famous Rolling Stones magazine.

Here you could see his created masterpiece:

Some of you may recognize this as the music video by “OK Go” playing their hit single “Here It Goes Again”. I do give him props for making that video and actually posting his blog link onto the summary section, which returns huge pageviews.

What will I be able to get out of this noob?

I must say that the first impression of this noob’s blog really looks crappy, but upon reading the content, it isn’t so bad. There are pratically 3 posts every single day with days that have more than 3. His main niche (topic) is to post about “money making”, but that doesn’t stop him from going off-topic and onto other interesting things.

Here, take a look for yourself:

Binh Nguyen » Yea, he does get quite a bit of traffic :)
CatherineL » you took the words out of my mouth! The food posts do make a person hungry…

Fat Kid Unleashed » Technically, blogs don’t have to be updated everyday to provide content. Judging by experience here, I’ve noticed blogs that post about 2-3 times a week provides the better reading material.
