blog retire

Everyone’s dream is to come up with an idea that will revolutionize something in the world. If you look around online or in person, you would notice that there are tons of Entrepreneurs running around trying to sell you a certain product, introduce you to something, and even brag about their success. What these Entrepreneurs are trying to do is making money. Making money as an Entrepreneur is a endless task because the possibilities really varies on how the person is. Why do I mention making money in this post? It is because having enough money is the second option you can choose from when you retire. The first option you have is wait until you’re about 60-70 years old before you receive the money from your retirement plans. I surely don’t want to wait that long to retire because what would you do with the thousands of dollars you are going to get back? You’re really going to have to bust your ass by working hard if you wish to retire like an average person.

Blog Topics Are Unlimited

I know that a lot of people blog only because there is money to be gained from the venture, but not all of us can achieve this. I don’t blog completely for money, but I still need it to pay off servers and other bills (especially when I need to move to a dedicated server now). Bloggers don’t know that a blog can be on any topic (niche) you choose and there is no wrong on what you choose. Any topic you choose will be correct because you’re the one that chose it and you have interest in writing about it. There are still vast amounts of topics to be chosen from website categories, but you could also add in your own. As long as you love what you’re doing, you won’t have a problem with blogging about it and viewers shouldn’t have a problem reading what you like to write about. Remember if you like it, there’s a high chance that others do too.

Correr Es Mi Destino, The Passion

I’m taking that most of you don’t understand my title correct? Well, it’s good if you understand Spanish, but I’m going to explain to you what it exactly means.

Correr Es Mi Destino translated to English means “Running Is My Destiny”. Some of you may think that it has no meaning to it, but some of you will think deep. I’m going to give a shot at it and say that the blog is basically about Juliette’s life and how she wishes to perfect herself without giving up. What do you guys think about that?

Anyways, I’m going to get back to my review of Juliette’s blog, which is I would like to point out, has wonderful photos of Canada.

Background - About page of Correr Es Mi Destino

Juliette, aka Zhu, is a French and half-Canadian blogger that currently lives in Canada’s capital, Ottawa. She’s currently a French teacher educating government workers because they need to be bilingual. What amazes me is that she also speaks Chinese, which is the same dialect as me, and studied the language for 12 years.

Correr Es Mi Destino was created back in 2006, when Juliette just wanted to post pictures and information for her friends and family back in France. After some posting, she realized that she could go beyond her family and friends and enter the blogosphere. She then created her first blog after studying templates, layouts, and blogging. In September 2007, Juliette took a big step and opened her self-hosted blog, which is what you see now.

By the way, just to let you guys know…Michelle, my wife, has some French in her since she’s Vietnamese and if you study history you will realize that Vietnam and France was once together. “Weewee”

So what exactly does a half-French, half-Canadian, and even a half-Chinese blogger have to offer?

Well, I’m going to be honest here that Juliette’s blog does not have much to offer to the “big gun” bloggers or everyday bloggers that blog about money, but she offers gorgeous photographs of Canada. Not only does she provide great photos, but she also provides immigration tips and info for any of you that wish to move to Canada.

Sample photos:

I don’t know about you guys, but I may want to use those photos in my future posts. Scenery photos are always the best because it keeps everything tranquil.

Correr Es Mi Destino is basically a personal blog, but don’t let these type of blogs fool a person because there usually more content on smaller blogs than on the bigger ones. Trust me on this and I’m sure you won’t regret. If you like her photos, you might even be able to contact Juliette to send you the original.

Make sure you subscribe to Juliette’s feed so you can be updated with her almost daily snap shots.

Knowing Your True Potential Starts With ZEN - Review of Zen Habits

Blogging, Environment, Food & Drink, Health, Personal, Philosophy, Reviews No Comments »

Background - ZenHabits’ About Page

Achieving goals, productivity, being organized, GTD (Getting Things Done), motivation, eliminating debt, saving, getting a flat stomach, eating healthy, simplifying, living frugal, parenting, happiness, and successfully implementing good habits begins with Zen Habits. Leo Babauta is the man behind the success of this huge blog. Some of you readers might think he is a doctor, coach, or a consultant that have answers to everything, but he is just a father of six kids, a husband, and freelance writer that created Zen Habits for setting and achieving goals of others or his own.

Consisting of Zen habits in Leo’s life, he was able to achieve many of his own goals listed below:

  • Quit smoking
  • Became a runner
  • Ran a marathon
  • Began waking early
  • Became organized
  • Began eating healthy
  • Became a vegan
  • Doubled income
  • Wrote a novel
  • Took control of finances
  • Began eliminating debt
  • Began saving an emergency fund
  • Simplified life
  • Lost weight
  • Began training for a triathlon
  • Began commuting to work by bike
  • Began the habit of clean-as-you-go
  • Read more about Leo’s achieved goals

QuotesThat sounds like a lot, and looking back on it, it is. But I didn’t tackle it all at once, and by building on and learning from each previous success, I was able to achieve each new challenge I set before myself. And I had a blast doing it (and still do).

Provides

ZenHabits.net provides the tips that many of us seek, but if we were to commit to the goals, weZenHabits_RSS must also follow Leo’s techniques. With 2-3 posts a week, Leo is really hitting it big time with over 20,000 unique visitors a day reading his tips and help on providing zen. I decided to give ZenHabits a try and I started reading one of his posts, A Simple Method To Avoid Being Judgmental, and he is absolutely correct about how we view strangers on their cover and not what is inside. His great steps surely made me realize that I am absolutely a judgmental person because I like to talk shi* about others and the way they look. Leo’s posts are such a huge help towards my life and surely would work for any other person. With each post he makes, he describes what needs to be changed in order to receive perfect zen. For example to the post I read, Leo points out that a person needs to be concerned with the following points:

  • Don’t pass judgment
  • Understand
  • Accept
  • Love

Everything is described in so much detail that any person can reach their full potential after reading the 2-3 posts a week.

ZenHabits_ChallengeA forum is also an addition that ZenHabits provide, where subscribers start conversations with each other discussing certain habits and what can be done. In addition to that, the forum is the place for the monthly Zen Habits Challenges, where any member may choose a habit and report daily on the productivity.

Inspiration

Leo is not the man he used to be now that he follows by what he says. He creates new habits when he feels that something needs to be changed. Usually when a person wants to do something new, it is only committed for about a week or so. Leo inspires many of us by the great feats he has accomplished and is still accomplishing because he feels he is just not there yet. It is difficult for a person to come forward blogging about their own life, but ZenHabits is available for everyone to receive tips and help to succeed.

The first habit we must commit to now is making ZenHabits.net our daily habit.

Update: I’m sure you guys already know that Darren has already beaten me to a review of ZenHabits and his new eBook. Darn that ProBlogger , but hopefully this review will bring some extra kick to some of you readers.

Early Marketing Success Hero Is On The Run! - Review of JTJNet.com

Blogging, Business, Education & Training, Personal, Reviews 2 Comments »

Background - John Jordan’s About Page

Not even able to drink or go out at night past curfew, John Jordan has already been a entrepreneur for almost 5 years of his life. He first started his entrepreneur business by opening his own business, X-tra Help, to do what any normal average 13 year old would do in his time. By doing cleaning, pet sitting, house watching, watering plants, and much more, he was able to earn around $1,000 a month. Because he was so young, he soon got into trouble with the authorities because he was out past curfew. This problem gave him 6 months probation, which made him hooked onto an RPG computer game, Red Alert 2. I must say, John have great taste in video games because Red Alert is one of the best RPG games out there.

With such a great video game, who wouldn’t want to create a site about it? Mr. Jordan did. The website began his addiction into Internet Marketing Business because he realized it was very simple to make money off Google Ads. Going into the Internet business, John started focusing on Business Plans, PPC advertisment, and Affiliate Marketing. Of course, many of you still have to realize that John is still a high school student and teenagers around his age are usually immature, but with JTJnet.com, he proves us wrong.

What Now?

JTJnet.com isn’t what it used to be, having posts once a month, or having no content at all. John decided to focus on what he does best and what he is most educated on, SEO. SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization” and this is what brings users to your web page. Although he told me he will now focus on SEO posts, it doesn’t limit him to bringing up other optimization plans. A recent post about SMO, Social Media Optimization, proves that JTJnet.com is not limited to SEO, but also on various topics that help to bring traffic to your web page.

John Jordan Review

Although John Jordan’s blog isn’t what most of us call “the blog,” he doesn’t give up. A couple months ago, he decided to get a review from the evil Internet Mogul, John Chow. John Chow ReviewIf you know John Chow, then you probably know that these reviews cost a whopping $400 that an average teenager can barely afford. The review got JTJnet.com some attention, which allowed the blog to reach about 30 subscribers. Paying $400 and only receiving a few subscribers didn’t hurt John Jordan one bit. He continued to blog about SEO, despite his lack in timely posts. This surely inspired me because with the creating of Bloggin-Ads, I would never fork out so much money. Hopefully the inspiration doesn’t just inspire me but also many others. Blogging successfully takes time and dedication. If it is given, any blog can become successful.

If you want others to give your blog a try, why not give John Jordan a try.
