@MindBlogger: I guess the hard part for a beginner is to play the right card and make the right move at the right time. I am trying my best to learn every step along my way now, by the way bookmarked your blog
@Owen: You should not change your way if you have no trouble getting and presenting the hard-to-get info, it will definitely make your posts more sought after and unique. If however you have a large fans following, let’s say you have 1 important news about linux, but there are 2-3 bloggers who has blogged about it, you can either link to and mention their post or just blog it in your own style again, your readers would appreciate it!

Hi, I don’t agree with your 1st item “Better Late Than Never” but I guess it depends on your niche. For example the Linux niche is pretty much saturated, there fore I do not want to blog about topics that others can read on other great Linux Blogs. I’d rather focus my time on providing information that is harder to find but thats just me.

Do you think I should change my ways?

Very powerful insights indeed. Enjoyed the post.

Especifically I found “Penny saved is a penny earned”, most insightful. From what I see, most of the new people who make money online from their blogs are excited about the fact that they are making actual money from their blogs and eager to spend all of that money quickly and probably! It’s an easy come - easy go thing when it’s all transferred into the their paypal accounts.

And from what I know, I believe if a blogger plays his card right, he can never fail. The important thing is to have a defined strategy and supporting tactics that focus on building a better blog earlier on and then monetizing it.

Then again, just my opinion!
