I can’t say a great post can I?.But still it is…..

This is a point of time where bloggers are attracting comments,be it by holding contests or by giving out links.Now,comments have become a prestige point for bloggers.You shouldn’t be surprised if I say that a blogs value also depends upon the number of comments…:)

But finally what matters is a reader who reads and leaves a meaningful comment adding more value to the post…

@ shaxx and chetan… hmmm I am guilty of backlinks… hehehe. But I think that backlinks should only be used if you think that you have a post that coould really help to make things clearer on the post that you commented. Meaning…use backlinks if you have a similar or very related topicin your own blog to that of the post of the blogger where you commented to

I hate it when people left a comment such as “nice blog! please visit mine”… I believe these people left the comments for the sake of getting you to come over to their blogs…

Hey Christine, I get about 10 of them a day…. it is an automatic spam generator making them, not a person!!

@Mike, Like Christine, a lot of my comments are genuine but I don’t get too many of them, unless I start russling up some controversy.

I try hard to always read the articles and comment. I spend a lot of time reading posts every week. My commenting is hardly reciprocated but that is ok, I enjoy following people.

I’ve seen a slew of sploggers posting lately with things like “I really like your blog design, look forward to reading more” or “you’ve got a great writing style” - then of course you visit their site & realize what they’re up too. I like to think most of my comments are well thought out and relevant…I may not get comments on everything I write, but for the most part the ones I do get are always genuine

Comments! I don’t get too many comments on my blog. I probably haven’t gotten too many of late because I have not been very active. On the most, they are legitimate. I do get a bit of junk sent to me via my contact link.
A lot of the comments I get are from the same people and they sometimes give me a bit of valuable info that only add to the post.
