Most of you are probably wondering where the heck I’ve been these last 1-2 weeks. There have been a huge drop in activity here on Bloggin-Ads and I know some of you guys have been waiting for new posts to be published. I apologize for the lack of updates, but I have some stuff to discuss with all of you.
Over the last 6 months or so, my wife and I have been in financial problems where we were barely able to pay off the monthly bills. It’s especially difficult for us because we pay the full amount rather than pay the minumum amount due each month. As you can see, I even added 2 125×125 ad spots and a page peel here on Bloggin-Ads just to earn some extra money, but it’s simply not enough to pay off those horrible credit card bills. I didn’t want to start doing sponsored reviews or anything to disturb the easy access of my blog, so my income was purely from advertising spots. Some of you guys even believe that I make hundreds or thousands a month, which I don’t 
Anyways, the decision to sell Bloggin-Ads is because of the above situation and as much as I would regret it, I simply can’t go on any longer. Right now, any amount the blog sells for would help pay off partial or all of the bills. I have posted a listing on SitePoint for my blog sale. I hope you guys could help me spread the word on the sale or purchase the blog if you’re interested

I would recommend you going to http://www.daveramsey.com or pick up Dave’s book called The Total Money Makeover. He also has a radio show that you can listen to online if it isn’t being broadcast in your area. Dave also has a show on the Fox Business Network. He is really good with helping families get out of debt and on the road to financial freedom.

of course the competition was fake, just to build some stats to make the graphs look better for sitepoint.
If it wasn’t for the fake competition to inflate your core metrics you wouldn’t get anymore than the cost of the domain and pro-rata on the hosting.

hmm. i’d like to give you the benefit of the doubt. but it really was your bad that you haven’t given out the main prize yet. I don’t know who Paul is, but from the sitepoint thread, it got me thinking. Paul makes some valid points tho. After reading your counter argument and his accusation. seems like i’m more inclined to believe him.
Sorry to hear about your money troubles. it’s not a pleasant thing and it can make life very difficult. My question is. Why would you sponsor a contest where the prize is a Macbook air if you’ve had money troubles for 6 months? If you sell this blog for $3500, won’t that just cover the cost of you contest prizes? Doesn’t seem to balance out in my opinion.
