I think having an “about and contact page” is very important.
It was the very first thing I did when I started blogging, even if I have to update it, after reading this post!
However, the creation of this page gains closer relationship with your visitors and gives u (the blogger) a more human aspect, I mean…visitors can see how really you are

I also feel shy to post my photo…hmmmm how did you overcome that? Well when I read blogsites, I really read the content first before the about me page. But bow, I think it’s also good to check out the “about me” page to have a glimpse of how good is the author… hehehe

My about page was the first thing i wrote when i started blogging,i was shy at first to add my photo but later overcame that.I noticed that my about page is the most viewed page.I check other blog’s about page first before reading any article.

Yeah you’d better be working on your ABOUT page to gain closer relationship with your visitors. Anyway hmmm some sites offer “contact page” that have anti-spam stuffs so that would prevent spammer. try it…

I agree with you about the “About” page. I rarely give a blog a chance if I can’t figure out what it is all about. I don’t have a “Contact” page because I’ve been afraid of spam. I’m going to seriously consider adding a contact page to my blog.
