Though largely symbolic right now, if it was truly a world wide event taken seriously, it could truly make a difference. Most of the people on my block participated, there were very few lights in the area. Every little thing that each of us does is worth it. I work hard to do my share and frequently encourage others to do likewise. This is an excellent post, I too hope that some of it's readers were persuaded to do something.
