I have 2 blogs and also feel that it would be way too much work if I added one more blog even though I would like to do it. If I decided to go down that route then I would probably hire someone in India to write posts for that blog.

I really only have 1 “social” blog, on the other hand, I have several other “blogs” which are really niche sites. The other blogs really only use a blogging platform to make updates easy.
That said, I agree with you that many (especially me) can not use time wisely while working at home and spread what effort we use too thin. Focusing on one blog till it is successful and really putting the effort into it that is needed is the key to success.

Mike, my posts also take more than one hour, maybe two. It all depends on how much research I have to do, to make it a great post. There are indeed blogs that don`t need regular updates, those blogs don`t interact with their readers a lot, this is time saving, but not a good idea to run 7 blogs, unless you hire people.

Running 2 Blogs only because I’m working for almost 9 to 10 hours somewhere else as well. But I’m thinking of working 6 hours at the place I work so I can give more time to blogging and eventually become a pro-blogger..

any ideas? if I should go for it or not?

I got 2 dotcoms, and 4 blogspots. If blogging is a business, then it’s like running a conglomerate or a multi-departmental, multi-product company. It multiplies one’s earning potential.

If the blogs are not producing, then these are just non-performing assets, a burden to the owner if maintained in the long run.

I have 5 sites that I was trying to keep active. I have since dropped it down to three. I thought that having a site in each niche was needed but really one site with a few different categories would have covered everything.
