Review: Cliffside Malibu

Cliffside Malibu is a rehab facility that promotes a safe and comforting environment for individuals seeking treatment for a variety of disorders. Having a close connection with someone who needed treatment personally, I respect and admire what Cliffside Malibu does for those looking for help in the right place.

The facility boasts the ability to work with individuals suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, depression, and other co-occurring disorders. The rehab and extended care facility offers adults seeking assistance a way to combat their disorders with a variety of methods including detox, individual therapy, group therapy, depression treatment, and alternative medicine. Each disorder is treated accordingly in what appears to be five star accommodations.
Looking through their site there is no doubt that the center offers state of the art treatment inside an environment that is positive, but also offers numerous options to rebuild the mind, the body, and the soul. Admittedly healing can take a long time but Cliffside Malibu offers its patients laundry service, gourmet meals, exercise programs, and services that can even include the family.
The Drug Rehabilitation and Alcohol Rehabiltation are undoubtedly the busiest of the disorders in terms of people needing treatment. The epidemic of drug and alcohol abuse extends across the racial barriers, income levels, religion, and political affiliations. The victims of these disorders are people like you and me, and Cliffside Malibu has the ability to work with these individuals by showing them that there are treatments that work, patience and persistence are key to overcoming. Should the individual need medicinal treatment, the Drug Treatment Center ensures that it will work with you, your physician, and your family to find the right medicine to help you recover should you need it.
Now addressing the site itself is another story. The battle of form vs. function exists, though it undoubtedly falls on the function side, while leaving form in the dust. The layout for the site is simple, if not unpleasant. When I first came to this site, my eye immediately went to the lines of text to the far left hand side where I feel like a lot of really information is squished into the column. While I completely understand why this information is being shared, I don’t agree with the way it’s displayed, perhaps a little overwhelming.
The number is prominently displayed for those needing assistance. There is no excuse not to find the contact information, nor any of the information across the menus, as they are all self explanatory. I am very impressed with the number of staff on hand at Cliffside Malibu. I feel for someone looking for help, it’s encouraging to know that there is a team of people waiting to lift a person back on their feet. The virtual tour is also a nice addition adding to the comfortable feeling of knowing exactly where you are going.
Finally I feel like the blog needs more prominence in the site, especially if they are going to share success stories. Put the information at the top within the menu, because there is definitely more impact when someone sees a person’s success story being shared in the Cliffside Malibu blog.
Overall a very informative and positive site. I whole-heartedly support their efforts to work with those that seek help, and I wish them luck as they provide “individual treatment for individual disorders.”
