More and more weblogs are becoming alike!!.
We definitely need to get a unique blog theme once we start to make some money of our blogs!.That will attract more readers to your blog!.

I’ve never really like Unique blog designs (I wasn’t very impressed by John Chow’s too) and I have to agree that a lot of their themes are the very similar.
Two designers that I do like are Adii and Brian Gardner. I am using Brian’s Revolution Theme - http://www.michaeltalk.com

I definitely agree with much of what you say and my belief is UBD caters to the upper echelon who can afford it. Good for them too, if they can make that money from their designs. I agree with you totally though, if you can find something great for free and learn design techniques on your own time, it pays off greatly.

I think the price of the design should be directly related to the uniqueness of the design. If you want something truly unique maybe you should be willing to pay for it. I would certainly never pay $500 for something that lots of other people already have. Of course, anyone can take the time to teach themselves how to edit a theme. From there it’s simply a matter of finding a free one and modifying it to suit your tastes. Not easy, but definitely cheap.

Well, I agree and disagree with you.. kind of 50-50. The option is paid premium themes in my opinion. To buy one affordable and then have it customized your way. Everybody wins while the quality remains top-notch.

Colin King » Well, if in the future I do get sales on the ad spots, I’m going to have to hire someone to fix the coding or go with a new theme. I’m currently having problems with this theme because it mainly works on Firefox only.

@ Mike: I wasn’t knocking you… It was the one’s that have solid advertising down the right on every page. At least you do it tastefully, plenty of white space and not on every page, this makes each ad more visible.
