When I heard about blogging, I thought it was an easy task. Some bloggers I know make it sound as it was so easy. They brag they are making thousand of dollars each month. With that motivation, I thought I can make that much too. But I was wrong, I need to do a lot of patience and hard work before I can do it (This fact is not mentioned by most bloggers out there). Thus reading a lot of blog and getting exposed to a lot of bloggers will enable me to learn more (as a newbie).

My last blog post is..World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

You'll never get anywhere on a free blogging platform, not in terms of making a success of a blog that talks about money, the fact that it's hosted free is a contradiction to the advice you're giving. Keep it as a hobby and enjoy it ... anyone telling you otherwise is stroking you.

My last blog post is..Maid In Japan

So, I take it that you are a hobby blogger. A lot of probloggers started out this way, because they are not focused on profits, they were able to captivate and engage their audience with their know how. As their blogs gain in popularity, the money just flows in. Hey, I could use some extra cash there.

Everybody has to start somewhere, so start acting like one and do the little things that a problogger does so well, and build on it. Someday, you will become a problogger.

You have point there Avatar..Some of this could not apply for those part time bloggers..I've blog for almost 2 yrs. now but I can say that I'm not a pro-bloggers, I consider my self as a part time blogger..As what I learn to our fellow bloggers to earn is that traffic + Optimized = Success..that is my formula to follow..:-)

Many bloggers aspire to go pro someday. Although it may not be practical to start emulating everything that a problogger does, it would be helpful in the long run to do first the small but important things that characterize a problogger.

Whoa! This is good advice for very pro-bloggers intent on making good money out of their blog.

For me, this is pretty intense stuff... Your advice is sound but for part time bloggers, it may not be possible to adhere to all of them strictly. For me, planning, strategy and innovation would rank lower as compared to consistency and value.

My last blog post is..The Way of the General - Part VII
