Why You Have To Post a Blog on a Daily Basis

Blogging may mean different things to different kinds of people. For some, it may be a habit of everyday self-expression about day to day events. But for others, it is more of a career. Blogging may be deemed as another way to earn a lot of money just by utilizing the instant publishing features of the internet and the World Wide Web.
According to many successful bloggers, blogging on a daily basis is in the list of the ten blog commandments primarily if you are using your blog as your online business. They say that daily blogging is a must, especially for those who are still trying to begin a career in blogging.
Internet and blogging experts point out that for a newbie to become a successful blogger, he needs to have a daily dose of patience and perseverance that he has to exert on his online platform. Well, that seems quite true as blogging everyday can boost a lot of potentials for your blog such as the following:
A daily update attracts readers
If you are a newbie in the field of blogging, the best you can do to attract readers to visit your blog is to write on a daily basis. Take note that before you have decided, and while you were deciding to blog or not, many other aspiring bloggers chose to begin a career in blogging just before you did. As such, you have a lot of competition to face- maybe millions or more. And, one of the secrets to maintain a good competition, if not to totally outshine your rivals is to blog daily. This is primarily because blogging on a daily basis can heighten the chances that people will notice your blog, primarily because of the quantity of content that it has.
Daily blogging retains repeat visitors

Once your blog has attracted “loyal” everyday readers, you will have to keep those readers interested in your blog. How can they maintain their interest if they are served with the same thing everyday? Of course, you can’t expect people to read your very same blog post again and again, or for several times.
For many internet readers who know that they have a lot of other internet content to pay attention to, once or twice is enough for every blog worth their attention. Note that if they visit your page again, one of the most probable reasons is because they are checking if you have a new post.
However, do note that updating on a daily basis requires you to produce high quality content all throughout. Note that while you can arouse the curiosity of many internet readers by your content quantity, you can only maintain such attention through supreme quality of your articles. No one would bother to read a badly written blog post.
Blogging everyday increases your readers
If you blog on a daily basis, then your blog will have more content. Technically, the more your content, the higher chances you have of attracting new readers to your blog. Every piece of information that you put into your blog and every keyword that you utilize brings you close and closer to an opportunity to attract a bunch of readers. Note that whatever you write may serve as an entry point for internet surfers.
More so, look at it this way, if you can blog everyday, you can probably come up with a more varied selection of topics and you can make use of even more keywords and more subjects that people will find interesting. That means that you are able to increase your target market, as well as your marketability to them.
Daily blogging endears you to search engines
It is a given fact that daily blogging equates to fresh new ideas and topics to read, provided that you are a very creative and productive blogger. As such, these fresh blog posts can heighten your chances of using pertinent keywords, as I have pointed out earlier.
Moreover, the more you are able to use pertinent keywords, the more chances you have of being indexed by major search engines in the internet such as Yahoo, Google, MSN, and many more. And of course, the more frequent search engine “spider” your blog, the more chances you have of getting more and more readers. Therefore, you will also be more capable of deriving more natural traffic.
Blog daily, earn more
This seems quite official. Let’s do a recap of what I have pointed out above. Daily blogging attracts readers. If you attract readers, then you get web traffic. And then, updating daily encourages repeat visitors. This makes sure that you won’t lose what you already have.
Aside from getting more web traffic, everyday blogging also gets you more pages in major search engines. So, you will not only have more web traffic, but you will also be successful in search engine optimization. If you are able to do this, then you are really on your way towards more profits, primarily because more online entities would want to advertise on your page and more people will be willing to pay just to be mentioned in your blog posts.
Caution on Blog Posting Frequency
The general formula is blog daily = increase number of readers = increase web traffic = increase profits. However, you have to be careful not to over do your blogging. Note that blogging daily does not require you to post more than five or more times everyday. If you do that, there is a possibility that readers won’t put much effort or time in reading your blogs. Moreover, if they subscribe from your RSS and get more than ten mails everyday, they may feel bombarded and may unsubscribe from your feed.
Also, take note that whatever the quantity is, your top priority in blogging is quality. If writing on a daily basis will only lead to low-quality posts, write less frequently and give yourself a break. More so, use that free time to learn how to write more effectively.

Good post for professional bloggers.
However, it would be really tough to start posting daily for part timers. Personally, for me to post, it takes on average an hour to write, add pictures, amend the HTML formatting and recheck before I hit publish.
Sigh! Maybe that’s wide my blog readership is so low
I do my best to post at least one post a day.. but sometimes I get busy that I skip every other day. Thanks for the tips on this one and I learned another lesson especially for a newbie like me.
My last blog post is..Michael Vick in UFL: United Football League 2008
I am going to have to disagree with the article even though you have some good points.
I don’t think you have to necessarily post every single day, there are some topics out there that just cannot really sustain that kind of frequency without repeating yourself.
I do believe that you should post at least once a week though. People will still read your blog and will still comment. Unless your topic covers a wide array of smaller sub-topics I would say that posting at least once a week shouldn’t be too hard.
Plus, if you continuously post once a day, your readers will always expect a post every day. I don’t think there is any topic big enough to post once a day for a long time without repeating what you have already stated in previous posts. I think that every other day or every 3 days is a good goal to have.
With either of those goals, you don’t have to worry about what post you are going to write today and you have more time to put into the post making it that much more worthwhile.

I agree with @ Jarret..It is not necessary that you post everyday..It’s hard to find topic or to re construct a topic to your post..In my case I post at lease twice a week..Readers will be back if they found some interesting into your blog/site..
My last blog post is..5 Ways to Eat a Healthy Bread
it’s a good idea to post everyday, but don’t push it, concentrate on quality of the content rather than quantity.
If you have 3 or 4 idea in one day, write it all, but publish it once per day.
but if you cant find one, then read more blog and news to get some idea. Dont just simply cut and paste your entry for the sake of posting eveyday.

This articles made for a really great read. You’re absolutely right. I think it’s important to post at regular intervals too. If you post every 2 days, post at the same time every 2 days.

I have a few blogs here and there… some of them are losing huge potential due to lack of time and inability for me to post daily!!
In an ideal world every blog would get a daily post…. great article.
My last blog post is..Buy Postage Stamps Online
I think if you post too much, nobody will read the articles, but if you make a good attempt to do everyday, it does pay off!
My last blog post is..Free Romantic Games for Couples
I would like to make a new post daily, but the reality is that I just do not have the time. So I try to make 2-3 QUALITY well thought out and well written posts per week. That way the content and quality of the articles on my site are something people will want to come back to time and time again hopefully.

Hey Stephen, Another great post…I haven’t been here for awhile and I see you have done several good post. I think if you do a post every day people will expect it and there are times when you just can’t get it all together. I also feel that after putting in all that work that one puts into a post you should let it stay for a day or so. It also gives your readers a chance to interact and comment on your post. I’ve seen some Blogs change a post even during the day one in the am and then you go back there is a new one later that same day. When this happens you don’t give your readers a chance to read, come back and comment. I like 2-3 a week. Nice job Stephen keep up the good work.

I agree as often as possible is best, although it is hard at times for inspiration to match this. I try to save draft posts if I ever get on a roll and knock out a couple in a day to save for drought days.
My last blog post is..Wrong House Home Invasion Causes Scare in CA.
This is now the time to become a blogger professional..
I started out posting everyday, but like other’s I have a “day job” to pay the bills. I also noticed that when
I did post everyday, my reader count would go up and down,
I thought maybe some did not like to get the post’s daily.
But I plan to do at least 4-5 posts a week.
